What to see in the Osona region: Sanctuary of Puig-Agut

when i moved to Barcelona I had what is called -live longing- for know every corner of this province. The first months I dedicated myself to visiting the most obvious and famous of this place, then I went on to write down places in the entire Autonomous Community. Over time some places stayed parked in the list someday. It's time to get that list back.

This hermitage was one of the –places on my endless to-do list– to visit It's funny that the closer something is to us, the less attention we pay to it or the typical: "I'll go". Does it happen to you?

So we have taken advantage of the journey to make a short stop in this place.

The Sanctuary of Puig-Agut

One stop to have en account if you visit the region of Osona.

Included in the Architectural Heritage of Catalonia, this small hermitage is the first (in all of Catalonia) to be dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

This neo-Gothic building It was built by the architect August Font in the years 1883-1886.

I leave you some photos.

As you can see it is a very small hermitage. On the sides it has some mounds of land from where You can take very cool photos.

How to get to the Sanctuary of Puig-Agut

Recommended to visit in the afternoon or if you are passing through. Since the sanctuary is tiny and there are not too many things around it. You have a bar right next to the Sanctuary and further down a corral with animals of various species such as Geese and Peacocks.

NOTE: The sunset in that area is beautiful. ੈ✩

The sanctuary is located in the Osona region, specifically in Manlleu.

Exact direction: Cami de Puig Agut, s/n, 08560 Manlleu, Barcelona

In Spring it is a perfect escape to visit the fields of Colza, in this area there are kilometric and very beautiful fields đŸ€©

A place close to home that we have found nice and different,
