Things I don't buy anymore since I lead a simpler life

Things I no longer buy and that of course I don't miss Minimalism is a lifestyle that allows you to realize what you really need in your day to day. That is why today I want to talk about things I don't invest so much money in anymore since I started living with less.

Since minimalism came into my life, this list has been changing. Sometimes I start to think and I realize how they have put some ideas in our heads of what we supposedly need.

Moments of reflection that make me realize that I really we need very little to fulfill our day-to-day routine.

These are some of the things that I no longer buy and that have resulted in significant savings over the years.

  1. Decoration objects

The decorative objects are very beautiful, the problem is that they are just that: Beautiful. i need things that they be to me tools no objects that accumulate dust on the shelves.

It's not that I don't buy any decoration at all, it's that I do it in a different way. Always looking for objects that give me something.

Plants are one of my favorite decorations. and they also give me calm and serenity. They are alive, they grow, change color, provide oxygen and give spaces a lot of life.

Books. Although since I got the kindle I don't usually buy paper books, what I do is buy those that I really liked. More than anything for have them at hand, be able to underline and reread it in a physical format. And by the way make the living room beautiful. 💓

  1. Stationery Materials

He was the typical person who had 6 notebooks, two boxes of colored pencils, markers of different colors, and could even follow the list to infinity….

Apart from taking up space, I don't see the point of buying things that I'm not going to use, what I do is have strictly what I need and at most a new notebook in a drawer and that's it.

As for the my passion for stationery is still there, except that now suits my needs more: three notebooks, a couple of pens, a marker. Ready!

  1. Clothing

If the majority of people save half the money they spend on clothes, they would surely have enough to pay for a weekend in a hotel or more...

Having little can be very beneficial for us.

Since I have followed a minimalist lifestyle, spending on clothes has decreased considerably. until it becomes a very small amount and it's not that I don't buy any clothes, I just buy what I need (Little thing) throughout the year.

I have also become fond of buy second hand clothes So this represents significant savings when replacing certain garments.

With the money that I save in these types of things, I invest it in others that are really important to me.: how to continue training, go on a trip or savings.

I have been structuring my closet for about 3 years and that has given me a very large margin of time where I have been buying what I really needed in my closet.

I can say that Today the amount of clothes I need is very little.

  1. Commercial Creams

I wish I had stopped buying them earlier….

I have always been surprised by the number of creams that exist... Anti-wrinkle creams, for dry, mixed, oily, sensitive, extraterrestrial skin, and a long etcetera.

I have replaced all this racket with natural oils and soaps suitable for my skin that provide me more nutrients and have no chemicals. They are all advantages!

The only commercial cream I use is solar. The others are not part of my life and I am very happy with the great change.

  1. Magazines

With the internet this is me total expendable. I also choose to look at them in public places like the library.

  1. Physical Books

Best gift of the year: the Kindle. Blessed is he who created such an invention.

Although at first I didn't do much with him over time I've been adapting super well and It has become an essential in my backpack.. I take it everywhere, the fact that carrying hundreds of books in such a small thing never ceases to amaze me.

This change has had a considerable impact on the monthly expense since I usually purchase the book in digital format from the library or buy it in movi format at a lower price.

I also usually go to the library where I can find many books in physical and digital format. It is comfortable and free.

  1. Latest Trend Clothing

that need to buy the latest in fashion and step to history. I buy what I like and I don't care if it's fashionable or not.

Trendy clothes usually stop being trendy in a very short period of time, so it is not a priority for me.

  1. Processed food

I do not buy any product that comes processed for the simple fact that it is not good for health. I substitute that kind of stuff for natural ingredients or those of homemade recipe that do not bring neither chemicals nor additives.

Big change that makes meals taste more real and contain more quality ingredients.

Conclusion It takes much longer but it is cheaper and more effective.

  1. plastic lids

Although I have a few at home who already have their time... It's been a while since I decided not to buy another one again.

The plastic tapers they are very fragile, their duration is shorter and they stain easily. On the other hand, the glass ones, although they are more expensive, are more suitable for what I need.

  1. Make-up remover products

And finally, I cannot forget the make-up remover products.

I have replaced them with natural oils and they work much better for me. Healthier, effective and cheaper.

*To remove make-up I use a cloth make-up remover disc. > You can buy them by visiting my store MaemukiShop.
