Lessons thanks to minimalism

8 Lessons I Learned Thanks to Minimalism

One of the most significant discoveries for me to date has been being able to learn from minimalism. This lifestyle that has given me some life lessons that are vital and it has made me who I am.

Minimalism helps us understand (in our own flesh) why human beings tend to accumulate, why We lead life so fast, so shallow.

Changes are difficult but necessary.

changes are complicated. They scare us, but once we get into them we are able to see life from another perspective.

Minimalism teaches us from a very different point of view which Western society shows us. That point of view focused on the so-called ESSENCE OF THINGS.

And today I want to tell you about some of these lessons.

  1. see the bright side

See life from a different point of view. Trying Always look for the good side of events. *And also reflecting on the bad side of things.

It is not about living deceived in the yuppie world, but about knowing how to learn those lessons that can help you improve your life, learn from them.

I learned to make the most of the good times and to be very aware of the not so goodThey are the ones you learn the most.

  1. Everything happens for a reason

We almost never look beyond the situations of the moment. Sometimes life is trying to show you a different path. Life, destiny or whatever you want to call it wants you to change course, see other things, choose to be more knowledgeable. Don't force anything.

Be patient and trust.

Lessons minimalism: everything happens for a reason

What would have happened if you hadn't quit that job? what caused you anxiety? Surely you would be in the same place, without moving forward.

For life to change, situations must also change, and many times these are not to our liking.

You have to get involved, yes, but also you have to let life flow.

  1. be more flexible

When I started looking for information on the minimalist lifestyle, I had already come a long way towards it, without knowing it. Along the way you have to adapt to different situations, you have to know when to stop, when to deviate from the marked route.

An example is build a minimalist closet. You need to be quite flexible to try different things, and in the end find our ideal point. The same happens when you are looking for some activity to dedicate yourself to, that makes you feel good, alive.

I also mean Be flexible when it comes to living with someone who has different ideas from yours. Respect and adapt the best possible It makes life and coexistence easier for us.

  1. You don't need anyone's approval

There will be people who do not see sense in your lifestyleto. That they want to modify it, or that they give us their opinion about it, however, we are the ones who have the last word on the extent to which people influence our decisions.

Minimalism lessons: you don't need anyone's approval

To do what we want, it is not necessary for everyone to accept us.

I have decided a long time ago that I am the only one who should make the decisions about what I want for my life and what goes in or out of it.

Therefore, I do not need anyone's approval to have my own thoughts and try to follow a lifestyle according to my values.

  1. Less is more

amounts are relative and how relative they have different meaning for each person.

Lessons minimalism: less is more

I have decided have fewer material things of the ones I had, to gain quality of life: gain space in my mind, at home, be more focused on what is important to me.

Sometimes a little less is better than a little more. From there I am organizing. It's like the phrase "begin at the beginning".

  1. Finding the Middle Ground: Balance

People sin as extremists and in minimalism we are not going to be less.

At first you want to be the most minimalist in the world but over the months, you realize that's not what it's about. Balance is the key to any question.

Finding my balance has helped me to keep moving forward, not to despair of what's next. ultimately to find what is ideal for me. What makes me feel comfortable with myself and with the world.

  1. The art of doing nothing

In Italian they call it -IL dolce far niente-. These Italians really know!

It's okay to have nothing to do, Yeah. She is fine sitting on the balcony doing nothing at all, another resounding yes.

Lessons minimalism: the art of doing nothing

This fact has taught me find a space for myself, to reflect, to find myself. In this world full of super productive automatons it can be a sin to be doing nothing but, in my case, it is necessary and vital.

  1. Be more aware of my surroundings

All our actions have an impact on the environment. This affirmation makes me more responsible towards others, and that includes the environment.

Respect our planet and the inhabitants who live on itIt is an act of responsibility because it makes us more empathetic.

Thinking beyond the egotistical self allows us see other points of view.

Life is change. Without those small transformations none of us would be here. It is imperative to evolve, grow and learn at every step we take.
