Route through the Fields of Sunflowers in Spain. Towns where you can visit them

We are going on a route through Spain to see all the places where you can see fields of Sunflowers. The summer season, specifically the months of July and August, is the best time to visit sunflower fields.

These huge flowers draw attention from miles away. It is not for less, the sunflower fields are impressive.

Nature has so much to teach us.

Through the years, and through the seasons, I have come to realize that each season has its charm and that each place exhibits that charm in its own way. Many times, without looking for it, I have stayed stunned with a particular plantation or with a town that stands out even more in autumn. Lately I try to observe a little more those details.

Let's talk about the sunflowers for example. They have their full ripening stage in August, that is, when they have a more intense color, they are harvested in October. The pipes are so rich.

  • Jafre

Town very close to L'Escala and L'Estartit so you can take the opportunity to go for a dip in a cove.

Take advantage of do some section of the Camino de Ronda it is also a plan. 🌞

  • Yards

It is the village before reaching Jafre. I give you references because sunflowers do not ripen at the same time so it can happen to you that you see some field already withered and another in full swing in a kilometer.

  • Surroundings of Figueres

On the outskirts of this city you can find some Super cool fields and very photographable. Although in this town there are smaller fields, I think it is worth going if you are close.

Other places in Spain where you can enjoy the sunflower fields

The first time I saw these fields (so big and so impressive) was going on vacation to León (where my family lives) and you can imagine how I was when I passed through kilometers and kilometers of yellow mantle. 🤩 It is a very nice experience when you've never seen anything like it.

Burgos

In the Province of Burgos you have hundreds of sunflower fields. You don't even have to turn off the road to see them. Warning: they are huge.

At Lóleo Eventos, town of Pancorbo, right next to the AP-1 Highway you can see this wonderful work of art.

Town north of Burgos, famous precisely for its huge fields of sunflowers.
